DT-8 Desk stand

The desk stand allows charging of the phone battery, and a spare battery that may
be included in the sales package. It can be supplied with power from the AC-1 or
ACP-12 charger. The spare battery is charged if the phone is not inserted, or if the
battery in the phone is fully charged. The charge level of the phone battery is
shown on the display of the phone.

The blue light indicator shows the charging status of the spare battery and has the
following functionality:

• The light indication is breathing blue when the desk stand is empty, or when

only the phone is inserted (phone battery is either fully charged, or being
charged), or when both, the phone and the spare battery, are inserted, and
spare battery is fully charged.

• Constant blue light indicates that the inserted spare battery is not fully

charged. If the phone is inserted, the spare battery is only being charged when
the phone battery is fully charged.

• The light indicator can be turned off by pressing the switch on the back of the

desk stand. To turn the light indicator on again, press the switch.

• If the light indication is off without pressing the switch, the reason might be

one of the following: a non-compatible charger is used or the spare battery
temperature is too high. Check the compatibility of the charger and use only
compatible Nokia chargers. If the spare battery temperature is too high, it is
not being charged. When the temperature of the spare battery is back to
normal, charging starts and the light indication turns on again.
